You may see some Forest Preserve District staff working  in the area of the Skokie Lagoons, east of Forest Way Drive and south of Tower Road.  The FPD Planning and Development department is replacing a culvert pipe between a pond and the diversion ditch that runs north/south along the east side of Forest Way Drive.   The department of Resource Management is creating access to the area (red line on map below) east of the ditch and west of the pond.  The work requires removing a few trees and shrubs on the access path and four trees directly above the area of the pipe installation.

The access path work should be completed Monday, June 18 and will be secured during construction and taken out of service once the work has been completed.
