The Veterans Assistance Commission of Cook County will host a Veterans Resource Fair offering everything from housing assistance and health screenings to free haircuts. The event will take place in the Auditorium of the Juvenile Detention Center, 1100 S Hamilton, Chicago, from 9 am to 2 pm on August 29th.

Nearly 30 agencies, organizations and government offices will provide a wide variety of aid and support to veterans. Veterans can learn about job opportunities, housing, rental and utility assistance, educational opportunities, legal assistance and food stamps.
