Projects completed in District 14 in 2002 thru July of 2003:

1. Design approval granted for the Paul Douglas/Crabtree Bicycle Trail. 5.5 miles of trail waiting for authorization and funds to start phase II and III (1.83 million).

2. Bakers Lake & Younghusband Prairie substantially completed. 31 acres of prairie, 26 car parking lot, nature trail and boardwalk ($481,554).

3. Resurfaced and striped drive and some parking lots at Deer Grove, groves 1-5 ($177,000).

Commissioner Goslin takes the Oath of Office for second term on the County Board (December 2002)

Projects in design hase or included in Illinois First $21 Million revised list:

• Camp Reinberg—signage, toilet facilities, design. ($85,000) Replace heaters, design ($44,923).

• Deer Grove—buckthorn removal, design. ($104,500) Shelters at grove #1, #2, #4, & #5, design. ($108,209) Started engineering at Gully restoration at Deer Grove. ($256,000) Started engineering for trail restoration at Deer Grove and Deer Grove East started ($415,125).

• Dear Grove East—shelters at grove #1, #2, #3, & #4, design ($57,222).

• Higland Woods Golf course—Cart path being reviewed by Billy Casper.

• Crabtree N.O.—Replace heaters & AC, design ($40,000).

• Somme Woods—buckthorn removal, design ($104,500).

• Potawatomi Woods—Paving and Striping. Shelter at grove #1, design (26,765).

• Dam #1—Shelters at grove #1, & #2, design ($95,670).

• Paul Douglas/Crabtree Bicycle Trail Phase II & construction ($1.83 million).

• Penny Road Connection Acquistion, underway ($1.9 million).
